What I'm Loving Wednesday

So the last time I blogged I shared my February goals. I'm happy to say that I've already completed 2 of them! I updated my computer to the Snow Leopard software so I was finally able to update iTunes and therefore able to sync my phone again :) I can't really notice any other differences with the software besides that. I also redid my 101 in 1001 list. If you click on the 101 in 1001 tab at the top of my blog you will see my new list. I completed 54 out of the 101 things on my previous list so my goal is to complete way more (if not all!) on this new one. I have until November 5, 2016 - which is the day after my brother will turn 30...*freak out*. Today I thought I would share some of the things I am loving this week! Contentment Ladies
There's an awesome group of girls doing the contentment challenge these three months and I have learned so much from them. I love getting onto Facebook and seeing a new post, quote, idea or just some words of encouragement. Kat's theme for this month is satisfied. I've been looking at things I already have and using them or finding new purposes for them. For example, instead of going and buying more storage bins I have rearranged the ones I already have and situated them better so I was able to free one up. I am also trying to experiment with new outfits using clothing I already have.

So actually I don't love this at all. It's ruining my Valentine's Day plans and I am not happy about it. However, I am loving that this "huge snowstorm" (no flakes yet) has given me the day off from work. Schools closed 3 hours early and we did not open so everyone had to go home. I am thankful for that and will spend my time doing homework & making Rice Krispie treats!

A Day in First Grade

As a graduate student I am responsible for coming up with tons of lesson plans, units, book portfolios, classroom management plans, behavior management plans, and the list goes on. My life would be SERIOUSLY difficult if it weren't for the awesome teachers out there who take the time to blog about their days, share freebies, create awesome resources and upload them to TPT and provide so many wonderful ideas. I've been told that teaching is all about "begging, borrowing and stealing" and all I have to say is THANK YOU! to all of these wonderful ladies who I look up to! And to TPT for being my savior. WILW :: Printable Wisdom

I was browsing some items yesterday and ran across the most adorable shop: Printable Wisdom
Check out the blog here! I am just in love with these digital printables! There's everything from monograms to scriptures to fun quotes, all in fun fonts and colors. Everything is customizable & very wallet friendly :) It's seriously hard to narrow it down to a few favorites!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!
Here's what I'm loving...
I'm loving my job. Yes, at times I want to rip my hair out, but at the end of the day I love all those lil nuggets & am so thankful to spend my days with them!

I'm loving my manicure I got last night at the Ladies Only Cash Mob! Downtown Blacksburg holds cash mobs every couple of weeks & they typically choose one restaurant and one store to "mob"...everyone meets at one spot and they discover where they'll be shopping/eating that evening! They're really fun and a great way to discover a new restaurant or store that you perhaps haven't tried yet. Last night, it was bundled into one location - Polished by Claire V. - and we got mini manicures or pedicures. Gobble Cakes was there with deliiiiciousss mini cupcakes and Beliveau Winery had glasses of wine to sell. Simply scrumptious!

I'm loving July! July has been full of fun adventures, including the 4th, a walking field trip for Free Slurpee Day :) , Friday nights spent on the lawn for the summer local music series and lots more!

I'm loving all of the fun races I've been finding and adding to my list. I love hopping in the car for the weekend and a race gives me an excuse to get out of town & see somewhere new (or sometimes just somewhere outside Blacksburg :))

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hey y'all! Here's what I'm loving on this last Wednesday of March :) I'm loving...more substituting experience! Today I'm subbing in 3rd grade at my school for the afternoon. I've never been in 3rd grade so this will be exciting! I definitely think I'm partial to K-2 (love first grade) but I would love more classroom experience in 3-5. As of today, I have about 7 other sub days already planned! So far I am loving the experience - it can get a little nerve wracking, especially if I get confused about something or am in a new classroom, but overall I think this will really pay off when I am looking for a job! Note to teachers: simple, clear, concise sub plans that out in plain view ready to go = SO NICE :) I always return the favor with a friendly note about how the day went.
I'm loving...this self-tanning how-to from The Kinch Life!

A bronze body is a happy body - for me at least. This late March snow has me DYINGGGG for a summer glow. I've never been to a tanning bed and probably won't ever but I may try this Fake Bake that worked so well for Aubrey! I'll at least try it before graduation so I have a little color.
I'm loving...The Croods (previews)! I cannot see this movie soon enough! I am hoping to go to PA this weekend to see Steven and if I do, hopefully we can go see this. I absolutely love animated movies & this one looks SO cute! Anyone seen it yet?
I'm loving...books about allergies.

This book, The Princess and the Peanut Allergy, looks too precious. These days it isn't rare at all to have children with food allergies (especially nut) in your classroom & I think this book would make them feel special! Do y'all know of any other cute food allergy books?
I'm loving...that I'm on my second Spring Break! Yes, that's right. The public schools' spring break has FINALLY rolled around which means I'm off from kindergarten & work duties until Tuesday! Yippee! This makes it possible for me to (hopefully) go to PA this weekend for Easter :)

I'm loving...the Carrie Underwood concert!

AH! It was AMAZING! I've only been to a handful of concerts but it was by far the best one I've been to. She sounds perfect live, puts on a great show (floating stage! confetti! giant beach balls!), has great outfit changes, sang ALL of her great songs - fit so much into just 2 hours. The last picture is her singing with Hunter Hayes who was the opening act and ALSO AMAZING. Swoon. I love him. If you ever get the chance to see her in concert - you definitely should!

I'm lovin' lots today. I think I could keep on going and going :) Instead - tell me something YOU are loving today!
