Friday's Fancies: Lilly Pulitzer!

Lilly Pulitzer
I'm participating in my first Friday's Fancies with {long distance loving}! She has a Lilly Pulitzer giveaway going on, so be sure and check out her blog for details! :)

Here are the details of my Polyvore (my first one...don't judge me!) including pieces from Lilly Pulitzer's Jungle Glam collection.

1. Joy Tunic Dress. This dress is adorable and I absolutely love the pattern! This is from the Jungle Glam collection.
2. By The Beach Bracelet. I love charm bracelet styled bracelets...does that make sense? This one has all of my favorite things from one of my favorite places in the world...the beach!
3. McKim Sandal Patent Ostrich. This flip-flops are adorable and the brown allows them to go with almost everything! The circle design gives it a little sass, too.
4. Pink Tomato Sea Coral Critter Earrings. These are so fun! The coral color is great and I like that they have the design of a stud.
5. Glam It Up Clutch. Love the gold metallic of this clutch. I can see myself grabbing it for a night out with many different outfits!
6. Resort White Horsin Around Critter Earrings. These are so fun :) I love wearing a simple outfit and statement earrings. These would be perfect!
7. Ritchie Dress. I am sooo in love with this Hotty Pink Let's Go Bananas print. I also like the long-sleeves! I don't have many cute, long-sleeved dresses. This is from the Jungle Glam collection.
8. Coral Hinged Bracelet. LOVE this bracelet! I don't have many bracelets and I have no idea why, because i love them. This one is simple and has a hint of color which helps you to wear it with a colorful outfit. I think I would pair it with the Ritchie Dress!

Whew! I hope y'all liked my choices :) The Polyvore was fun to do, but I think I need some practice!

We're safe and sound in Norfolk...had birthday dinner at Max & Erma's, then went and saw a movie! Fun night! Tomorrow we're going horseback riding - not something I would associate with the 757 but I'm super excited! I've been 3 times before and I had a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll have time to post later! If not, I will be back Sunday :)

Happy Friday!

It's OK...& Giveaway Alert!

Last night I wasn't feeling very well and I ended up in bed even earlier than usual!...I like to go to bed early...don't judge me.

Anyway, running errands today + class has me wiped out.  I am staying at home tonight because tomorrow morning, mama bear and I are off to Norfolk to see my brothers for big brother's 25th birthday! Woo!

Still, though, I'm going to play along with It's Ok Thursday with Neely :)

It's Ok...

...to expect every hospital to look like Seattle Grace...and expect to see McDreamy lurking around every corner.

...to already want to do your Christmas decor shopping. It's not your fault TJ Maxx already has everything out - and everything is adorable!

...to go to the public library and spend the whole time in Easy Fiction.

...to be eager to study because the faster these days go by, the faster Thanksgiving break will be here! (a whole week off!)

...to seriously consider buying every penguin-related. Salt and pepper shakers, cookie jar, place mats, pillows...everything.

...to go into Grand Home Furnishings just to get a free Coke and test out the couches.

...to want to spend every day in leggings, boots and a big sweater.

...to get overly excited when someone has a giveaway...who doesn't like free, cute things?!

...to cheer for the bad boy. Specifically speaking about Tim Riggins here...any FNL fans? :)

...to want to slap the girls who walk around campus with no sense of the world around them. Pay attention, people!

...to get excited about little things, like being the listener for a change and being read to by the first-graders :)

...to go right now to Ashley's blog and enter her giveaway! Kate Spade socks from Monkee's in Nashville! Adorable!!

That's all for now, folks :) I'm headed to bed to get rid of this sickness, whatever it is!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! Only a couple more days until the weekend! :)

Here's what I'm loving on this chilly, November day!

I'm loving...all the fall countdowns I have going on. Countdowns, just like to-do lists, really motivate me to keep truckin' along!

I'm loving...this YouTube find. I actually saw it on Facebook after one of my friends posted it, but then I proceeded to go onto their channel and watch all the videos. I just love acoustic versions of songs.  This particular video also includes adorable puppies which tend to steal the spotlight. These guys can sing! (I also LOVE this Blake Shelton song...so much)

I'm loving...road trips! This weekend will be the third straight weekend I traveled somewhere...oops.  Good thing I love to travel and don't mind being in the car :)

I only wish I looked this fashionable when I went places!

I'm loving...May Books!  I saw these referenced on College Prep and after looking into them...I love them! They are eco-friendly notebooks and you can customized the inside pages! First you pick the outside design, then what inside pages you want (wedding planner, baby planner, meal planner, blank, lines, etc) and then...most importantly and most recently added...add your monogram :) HOT DEAL:: Any orders placed before November 6 at midnight receive free monogramming - normally $5 :) I'm definitely going to get one or two for myself and maybe some as gifts, too!

I'm loving...Halloween candy. If you watched my vlog, I think I showed the little bag I had from my Mom.  I think my favorite Halloween candy is...

...anything Reese's. Peanut Butter Cups, Pieces, Fast Break...anything! Plus now all the Halloween candy is on sale!

I'm loving...these recent Pinterest finds:

Sorry for the short post, but it's an early release today so I'm headed on in to work already!
When I get back, though, I am dying to know what you are loving on this Wednesday!

Top 5 Tuesday: October Favorites

Today I'm linking up with Rachel @ Just Peachy for Top 5 Tuesday! The theme is October Favorites...oooo la la!

1. Flannel Shirts
I absolutely love flannel shirts.  I love the look/feel/warmth/everything.  I have a couple on my birthday list!

2. Pumpkins
I made two trips to the pumpkin patch in October!  I went once with SB and our friend, then a second time with family.  Besides picking a pumpkin (we ended up with 4 this year), I love getting kettle corn - it's SO DELICIOUS at Sinkland - homemade ice cream (even in the cold), apple cider, finding my way through the corn maze, seeing a world champ pumpkin launcher and taking pictures!

3. Football
While I would refer to myself as more of a girly girl, as opposed to a tomboy, I do love sports.  Especially watching football.  There were many Saturdays in October spent in Lane Stadium, or sitting on my couch cheering during away games! I lovvvvve me some football, especially when it's my Hokies playing!

4. Fall Nail Colors
After getting the shellac done, I am convinced it's way better than a regular manicure! No smudges, no chips. Wonderful.  However, on my college girl budget, an $8 bottle of O.P.I. is a little more affordable than keeping up with the shellac each month. For October I stuck with a maroon shellac and a light pink shellac. Here are some fall shades I'm looking to get!
Espresso Holiday Glow
Color to Diner For -- good for Christmas :)
Suzi Loves Cowboys - I think I posted this before, but I like it!

5. Lip Balm/Therapy/Etc
As seen in my blog, I have several lip balms and chapsticks and whatnot. With the October month came chilly temperatures! My lips dry up in 5 seconds, so I definitely need to have more than one chapstick in case I lose one! My favorites are:

What are your Top 5 October Favorites? I can't believe it's already NOVEMBER!
This weekend I'm headed to Norfolk to see my brothers - it's big brother's 25th birthday! Thanksgiving is in 23 days.  My 21st is in one month and 4 days.  Christmas is in one month and 24 days.  Momma's birthday is in one month and 25 days.  SB's 21st is in one month and 29 days! It's going to be a busy two months, I can feel it...

Quick sidenote: I've seen probably 2 or 3 other blogs titled "Simply Sarah" ... should I keep my blog name or change it? I don't know why it bothers me, I guess just because I don't feel unique anymore! Thoughts?

Happy Tuesday :)
