Ten on Tuesday

Linking up with Roots and Rings this evening for Ten on Tuesday! YAY for link ups :)

1. What temperature do you keep your thermostat on during the day?
I think it's at 72. Our bedrooms get SO hot upstairs, so we keep it low to try and cool them off. However then the downstairs turns cold. It's a battle!

2. What temperature do you keep your thermostat on at night?
Same! I would love for it to be less, though, because I cannot sleep when it's hot. I get the worse headaches!

3. In a canister of mixed nuts, do you pick out certain varieties and leave the others?
I prefer the peanuts, almonds, cashews...I probably wouldn't pick up just mixed nuts, but rather get a trail mix of sorts - gotta throw some chocolate in there. Whoops.

4. What is your favorite kind of M&M?
I seriously love them ALL. But my favorite is probably a tie between peanut butter & peanut. Peanut is a classic, so it will probably always be #1. However the pretzel ones are SOOO good. I have been getting them recently since they are fairly new.

5. How do you buy books? (Amazon, bookstore, new, used, electronic, etc)
If I can get them used, I will. I often go to the thrift store and shop through their section. If not there, I usually buy them new at Books-a-Million. I'm not cool enough yet for a Kindle!

6. How do you like your eggs cooked?
I'm actually not a big (plain) egg eater, but I will eat them scrambled with cheese. I jus

7. Can you whistle?
Yes, but not very good. SB is a master whistler, no joke. I'll make him do a video and share it on here.

8. What common word do you always misspell?
necessary, committee... All those double letters mess me up.

9. Are you afraid of flying?
Used to be, but not anymore! My first time on a plane was in 2007. I've done three trips in my life.

10. How often do you go shopping?
Alllllllllllll the time. Mostly because I love Kroger. I try to do one big trip, but the total always scares me, so I do little trips usually.

Y'all link up!
Off to a meeting now, then DONEZO for the day. I'm. So. Exhausted.

xoxo,

Last day!

One Picture (of yourself):
Y'all know what I look like, so here's one from back in the day!

All done with the 10 Day You Challenge. I think it was pretty fun :)
I'm off to trek through the rain across campus! It's a yucky day here (to be walking around). I'll be blogging between class :)

10 Day You Challenge, plus some.

Two Songs (that will never grow old):

(1) Til Kingdom Come - Coldplay

(2) Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band

I love both of these bands. Dave is so good in concert, which is why I included a concert version of the song. (That was from 1999 though). Good ol VA boys :)

Only one more day of the 10 Day You Challenge. I forgot a couple of days or else I'd be done. Oh well :) Hopefully I'm not annoying y'all with this thing.

Today was SUCH a typical Monday. Started off not so great, but then it turned around. It rained all day today which I wouldn't mind so much if I wasn't having to walk around. Va Tech is soooo annoying in that they don't give off for Labor Day! I think the professors deserve the day off ;)
After class I did some errands with Momma and then around 5 I got home and just chilled out in my room listening to the rain...heaven.

My room is ALMOST completely done and put together :) I've only been moved in for, what, a month now? HA, whoops. I like to take my time, people.

Hope y'all have had a lovely Labor Day! Here are some of my recent Pinterest faves :)

Off to a meeting and the grocery store!

Sunday Verse & 10 Day You Challenge

Almost done with this 10 day challenge...

Three Films (that I know all the lines to):

(1) The Parent Trap. I'm talking the Lindsay Lohan version, which reminds me...I miss those days of her being a normal red head baby.

Anyhow, I absolutely LOVE this movie and I definitely could watch it on Mute and tell you every line. One of my favorite parts is when they go to the Isolation Cabin and the little camp lady shakes her arm and then points at the cabin. My brother and I used to die laughing at that part. I also love when Chessy says, "Don't look at me, I don't know a thing." Another random part!

(2) Dumb and Dumber

I still, after watching it thousands of times, find this movie hilarious. It will always be one of my top "oldies but goodies". One of my favorite parts is when they get all dressed up in Aspen in their blue and orange suits. Another is the "Big gulps, eh? ........ Alright, well see ya later!" Hahahahaha

(3) Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

"I could smell ya, gettin' off the elevator." This movie, too, will NEVER get old. It's by far my favorite of the Home Alone series. My family watches this movie every year at Christmas, and throughout the year even when it's not Christmas! It's just too funny (I would probably annoy you with my laughter), but more importantly a family classic. And yes, I know about every part.

First game of the season was a SUCCESS! We scored within the first minute and it was all uphill from there. B-patt & I are on the East side this season which isn't too bad. Not as good as being in the North End Zone, but we'll live :) We actually had a perfect view of the game! We brought our raincoats thinking it might storm, then it turned out to be sunny and HOT HOT HOT. We all got sunburned. Next time I'm leaving the raincoat at home (so then of course it will rain).

One day I'll do a post on Hokie football game traditions. After going to a few away games I've been intrigued by all the different things the fans do throughout the games (chants, dances, etc).

After the game I got to go home to the pup pup :) Went shopping with Momma, won a bid on eBay with Auction Sniper (yay!), and then had a family dinner. I also ordered some new license plates...believe it or not...VT SARAH was available!! In the mountains plates (not the VT ones) but I thought it was too fun to pass up. Momma and I were both very surprised that it was available. Usually all the cool stuff is taken.

Anyone else head out to a game today? How did y'all do??
Four Books (that I want to read)
(1) The Help, by Kathryn Stockett
I saw the movie (yeah, I cheated) before I read the book. I loved the movie and still think I should read the book. Anyone against that?? Usually I try and read the book first, but I didn't have enough time and Jessi and I were dying to go see it!

(2) Safe Haven / The Best of Me, by Nicholas Sparks
These two are Nicholas Sparks' most recent novels. Safe Haven is already out and The Best of Me will be released in October. They have both already been reserved to be made into movies! Speaking of which...The Lucky One is coming out August 24, 2012! Just in case you need another countdown.

(3) Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, by Beth Hoffman
This book is currently on my nightstand...I've started it, but not finished. I'm starting to get caught up in school stuff though, but hopefully I'll find a couple minutes here and there to sneak in a chapter or two. It's hard to do pleasure reading during the school year.

(4) Something Borrowed (and the ones that follow), by Emily Giffin
Again, a book that I did not read before the movie came out, HOWEVER I have not seen the movie yet either. I can redeem myself this time :) I've heard the book is better than the movie? I'm welcome to thoughts on that. I just think the books look adorable - literally, the covers are presh - and the story sounds cute too.

I promise I have a whole list (literally...it's in my purse) of novels I want to read, but I just can't think of them all right now.

My body is dead from the game and my eyes are sleepy, so I'm going to drown out the loud mouths outside & try and get some sleep!
