What's In My Bag Vlog & Getting to know me!

Double whammy today! I finally had the chance to do the What's in my Bag vlog! It took me three tries because my computer decided to go to sleep, but I think it finally worked. Not very exciting, but I still thought it was fun!

Jackie Sue is hosting the link up so you can go to her blog to see some others! Plus, just check out her super cute blog :)

And yes, like everyone else, my video and sound don't match up. Why is this happening!?

Hopefully one day I won't be so awkward! Ha...

Then, as I was blog hopping, I saw that Emily did a set of questions she found from Summer Wind and I thought I would go along with that trend too! Basically, you will know maybe too much about me after this long post. But here we go!

If...

...I could like anywhere in the U.S....I would probably choose somewhere further South where it's not so dang cold all the time! I like to stay warm. I do love Virginia, though, don't get me wrong.

...I were to have more children...well, seeing as I don't have any children, this is a little out of context. But when that time comes, I would like to have at least three children!

...I could have any talent in the world...I would want to be a good dancer! Dancer as in ballet, not booty shakin' style.

...you met me in real life...you would probably see the same girl you see on here! I don't really buffer much, although I'm probably more goofy/silly in real life than I am on here.

...I went back to school...it would mean that it's 2013 and I've survived undergrad! I plan to go to grad school right away to get my teaching license.  So far, I plan to go to Radford University, but plans may change, who knows...

...money were not an object...I would fill my wardrobe, have a spoiled puppy and go on lots and lots of trips!

...I could meet one celebrity...I would want to meet Sandra Bullock or Heidi Klum.  They both seem like nice, down-to-earth people! Not to mention they're both hilarious.

...I could only shop at one store for the rest of my life...I would choose either Macy's or Nordstrom! Depending where I live, since we don't have a Nordstrom around here.

...I could choose an animal/pet...I would choose a penguin or an otter. Otters are the cutest things in this world.

...I could go on a trip right now...I would go to Savannah, Georgia.

...I had to choose between a house cleaner and a personal chef...I would choose the personal chef.  For one, I sometimes like cleaning...plus I wouldn't want someone putting my stuff in places because they I wouldn't be able to find anything! I like to cook but I don't have very much time these days to cook, so having a chef would be ideal!

There we are! Hope you enjoyed learning what's in my bag and a few random facts!
I hope y'all answer them as well so I can learn more about you!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I'm Dreaming of a White Halloween (& SV)

Woohooo, I'm back to internet access! This weekend I headed to PA to spend Halloween weekend with my boy.  I drove up on Thursday and on Friday, after dinner with his Grammy at "the shiny place" (favorite local diner) we went to the baseball house's Halloween party. Here we are before we left:

Kind of an awkward picture - I have a major skinny arm going on - but it was the best we could do!  We were (a straight haired, brunette) Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio. SB hates the Yankees - I better put that out there since this picture is out in public!  We changed our minds a million times on what to dress up as, but I think it turned out well.

The next morning, little did we know it would look like this:

Snow. Flurries. Not so bad though, right? Wait an hour or so and...

...the next thing I know, we're packed and headed to SB's Grammy's house and he is scraping snow off the car with a cookie sheet. Had to be resourceful!

That would be 6 inches of snow!  I seriously thought I was dreaming.  It's October, right?! AHH! I like snow, but only during winter and not when I have to drive anywhere.  Luckily, SB is a confident, calm and skilled driver and he got us to Grammy's safely.  We then stayed inside the rest of the weekend!

She fed us and kept us warm. We were happy :)

She also has delicious smelling candles.  This one and a pumpkin spice one as well! Mmmmm.

Sidenote: we watched a show called Puppies vs. Babies.  Yes, a bracket style show where they show an adorable puppy video and an adorable baby video and have people vote which is cuter. Genius. This video was the winner!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I keep forgetting that actual Halloween day hasn't even happened! I'm going to go hand out candy at home tomorrow :)

Lastly, I cannot forget the Sunday Verse:

Halloween, back in the good 'ol days...

I thought I would share some "way back when" Halloween photos since Halloween day is right around the corner! I had a few on my computer already that I posted last year on Facebook. We have probably a million more in photo albums at home.
My family has always loved Halloween...decorating, going to pick out a pumpkin, listening to the Monster Mash CD (a serious favorite), watching Hocus Pocus, and dumping out our trick-or-treat candy - trading pieces, giving the malted candies to Mom. Now that we're older there isn't so much trick-or-treating going on, but we pretty much still do everything else! :) Mom found Hocus Pocus on DVD this year, so that was obviously very exciting having a 21st century version of a great movie!

*sorry, these are in no particular order whatsoever!

Little brother...I think he was supposed to be Batty?
Jason is eying the cake...
Indian, Frankenstein, Dalmatian
Pickin' out the pumpkin! Jason was such a goober.
The 'two child' days
Jason and Kelsey [family friend]. He wore that Halloween vest all the time!
Mouse (yes, it's a bunny costume but I'm pretty sure he insisted he was a mouse) and a Spice Girl
Clowns (I think this was more for fun one day)
Spiderman, toddler pumpkin, baby pumpkin
Third grade - Witches - my friend Mariana and her sister Juliana from Brazil
Magician and Belle - probably my favorite :)
Momma and baby clown, Kimberly the pink Power Ranger and a Ninja

I also remember being a "Hokie Freak" dressing in as much Hokie gear as possible - around 5th grade probably, a VT cheerleader, a black cat, "cloudy with a chance of rain" in high school with a friend (we wore shirts with cotton balls glued to them and carried spray bottles with water in it...lammeee)...I can't remember the others.

What were some of your favorite Halloween costumes over the years? Are you dressing up this year?

P.S. Next week (when I'm back home) I'll be doing the What's in my bag vlog! Right now I'm visiting the boy, so I don't have my normal bag with me...I've loved watching all the vlogs and I can't wait to share mine.

Happy Friday! :)

It's Ok Thursday :)

Yayyy, my second favorite blog day besides Wednesday? Thursday! As much as I love sharing random tid bits of my life, link ups are so fun. Here we go!

It's Ok...

to rock out in the car {by yourself} driving down 81 and pretend like no one else can see inside.

to have a little piece of home in more than one place.

to walk allllllllll the way to the back of the store to put something back that you decided you don't want, and then end up putting it back in the wrong place anyway.

to think your Mom has more of a social life than you (recently, I think this is true...she went to the movies on a weekday!)

to want to take an extra semester, just to get in another football season as a student.

to want anything and everything monogrammed.

to NOT want the "sexy, instantly gives you two cup sizes" bra...that thing is ten inches of awkward padding and a lie.

to want to set an alarm to blog in the morning...I need to get out of this nighttime habit!

to feel like you're living alone since you haven't seen your roommate in over a week! (not kidding...she's a hermit)

to spend too much time on Pinterest (really, it's ok!) ... it's hard not to when you find things like this:
It's my go-to for mini reminders about everything throughout the day.

Happy early weekend!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! :) It's almost Thursday now...awkward.

Linking up with Jamie to let y'all know what I'm loving today!

I'm loving...that today I only had one class! I got to "sleep in" (only until 9:30) and then bum around until work.

I'm loving...that I finally did the Accent vlog!

Haha, sorry about my awkward cough and my dog running around the whole time...she's a wild child.

I'm loving...that this weekend is Halloween! This year, Steven and I are going as Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio.  Last year we did Fred and Daphne.  Our back up/second costumes are just going to be cowboy & cowgirl/rednecks, haha :)
I'll have on her iconic white dress and SB will have on a Yankees shirt/cap and baseball socks, etc. It's fun since SB is already a baseball player and the dress was easy to find! Although, for the record, SB hates the Yankees.

I'm loving...these recent Pinterest finds:

I'm loving...that I get to go see my brothers next weekend for my BIG brother's 25th birthday (Nov 4)...I can't wait to see them and check out their new (to me) apartment.

I'm loving...these picture from a great visit last weekend!
The bride and groom (SB's cousin)!
Pizza Man table
My date
Good night? Thumbs up!
At the spooky corn maze
Our lil pumpkin puppy

I'm loving...big sweaters. So. Comfy.

Oh, and I'm loving...puppies in sweaters.

I am so late posting this!
Lots of typing, then saving, then typing...I get distracted.
