Crazy Friday Night

Soooo I'm about to go cuddle up in bed...watch Friday Night Lights: Season 1...and fall asleep. #notkidding

I went on a run today after work to clear my head (and try and get back into shape) and that, plus my long week, has exhausted my body. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to sleep in tomorrow! I'm only wishing I had some Eclipse curtains :(

Thanks to everyone who commented on the new blog design. Jessi - I will try and tweak it later. I agree that it would look better on top of another color! I'll just need to figure out how to do that with the program I used ;)

Blog Makeover + Pinterest

Since I have nothing else better to do on a Thursday night than go to bed early, I decided to give my blog a makeover. Holy. Smokes. I have literally been looking for hours (not kidding) for a pre-made, free template that is cute and not everyone has. It was difficult! I ended up finding one and tweaking it. I'm still not 100% convinced that I am going to stick with it, but it's getting late...I have to stop sometime!

But seriously.

Today was a strange day. I'm not sure whether it was a good day or a bad day...I've had better, but I've also had worse. I'm just thankful that tomorrow is Friday because that means I've made it another week :)

Also, I'm 4 followers away from 50! That is so strange to me, seeing as I made this blog last year almost as a joke with my roommates. However, it has become more a obsession  hobby now that I love! I look forward to reading everyone's blogs and posting for y'all every day. I hope it's as fun from the reader's perspective!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I have a little break in between classes which is a perfect time to share...

I'm loving my Children's Literature class. We are in the fairytale section, and I love it! It's interesting to read some of the original stories since all I'm familiar with is the Disney versions :)


I'm loving the rainstorm we recently had. A lot of people are annoyed by the rain, but as long as it isn't a ton of thunder and lightning, I love it :) While walking to class (in my yellow rainboots) I had the urge to just run around and spin and stomp in the puddles! But I didn't, because then I would have been late. Next time ;)

I'm loving my recent Pinterest finds...

I'm loving apples and peanut butter. It has been my favorite snack forever and today I had some! Always makes me happy.

I'm loving my sweet bf who skyped me yesterday so I didn't have to eat dinner alone! He's da best.

I'm loving that I've officially started my Hokie Ambassadors training. In about two weeks I'll be an official tour guide! (assuming I pass the eval tour) Woo! Come to VT :)

Ten on Tuesday

1. What temperature do you keep your thermostat on during the day?
I think it's at 72. Our bedrooms get SO hot upstairs, so we keep it low to try and cool them off. However then the downstairs turns cold. It's a battle!

2. What temperature do you keep your thermostat on at night?
Same! I would love for it to be less, though, because I cannot sleep when it's hot. I get the worse headaches!

3. In a canister of mixed nuts, do you pick out certain varieties and leave the others?
I prefer the peanuts, almonds, cashews...I probably wouldn't pick up just mixed nuts, but rather get a trail mix of sorts - gotta throw some chocolate in there. Whoops.

4. What is your favorite kind of M&M?
I seriously love them ALL. But my favorite is probably a tie between peanut butter & peanut. Peanut is a classic, so it will probably always be #1. However the pretzel ones are SOOO good. I have been getting them recently since they are fairly new.

5. How do you buy books? (Amazon, bookstore, new, used, electronic, etc)
If I can get them used, I will. I often go to the thrift store and shop through their section. If not there, I usually buy them new at Books-a-Million. I'm not cool enough yet for a Kindle!

6. How do you like your eggs cooked?
I'm actually not a big (plain) egg eater, but I will eat them scrambled with cheese. I jus

7. Can you whistle?
Yes, but not very good. SB is a master whistler, no joke. I'll make him do a video and share it on here.

8. What common word do you always misspell?
necessary, committee... All those double letters mess me up.

9. Are you afraid of flying?
Used to be, but not anymore! My first time on a plane was in 2007. I've done three trips in my life.

10. How often do you go shopping?
Alllllllllllll the time. Mostly because I love Kroger. I try to do one big trip, but the total always scares me, so I do little trips usually.
