Ten on Tuesday + Pictures

*10 more days until James is home!!

1. What is your cleaning style like? When I'm in the mood to clean, I will clean just about every square inch of the house. However, that mood only comes around once every so often...I do like to keep my room picked up & my bed made though.

2. What is your favorite thing to add to an outfit to take it from casual to classy?
Statement jewelry or heels!

3. Do you like stormy weather?
Yes, as long as I'm not stuck outside! I'm somewhat afraid of lightning.

4. What is your favorite cold treat on a hot day?
Rita's Water Ice :) either Blueberry, Mango or Watermelon.

5. What is your favorite warm treat on a cold day?
Chili and cornbread.

6. Who is your favorite animated character?
Non-human: Stitch.
Princess: Belle.

7. What do you keep your jewelry in?A white jewelry box I got for Christmas.

8. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme? My room & bathroom are beach themed. My favorite theme :)

9. Do you watch any interior design TV shows – if so, what is your favorite?
Holy smokes, yes. I love House Crashers! I wish that would happen to me. I also like Design on a Dime and Income Property. I can't wait until I have my own house!

10. When was the last time you did something risk-taking?
I haven't done it yet, but I decided to run another half-marathon in the spring! It's definitely a risk because it costs $95 and so I better get my booty into action and get my training plan started! Although I've run one before, this one is a new one, so I don't know what to expect!

Here are some pictures from the weekend :)

It was all about America at Hooker Field Saturday night. Complete with the salute to veterans, fireworks and everything.

I finally got to see SB pitch. I have seen him pitch of course, but all his recent outings have been at games I wasn't at!

After the game I tried being the tall one in this picture!

I wish I could say he was on a step this time but, no...I'm just short. Or is he just tall? Hmmmm...

Sadie being such a good pup at the parade! She loved every bit, except she wasn't so sure about the firetrucks.

SB & I finding shelter from the rain at the parade.

Our mayor, Ron. (i wish we were on a first name basis.) He always rides up there during the parade, however the past couple of years I have been afraid for his life! Once he almost hit the traffic light and this year it started to thunder and lightning...that is not the place I would wanna be! Yikes!

The music/events were cancelled due to the storm, so SB and I sat on the blanket and listened to music while we waited for everyone to get to the hill. Here we are waiting for the fireworks to start!

Fireworks :)

Although we had the huge thunderstorm (that knocked out the power in Dick's while I was trying to buy some shoes!), it was still a great day! As I said before, I absolutely love the 4th of July. We had both hot dogs and hamburgers, played some fun games inside and saw fireworks. I'm satisfied!

Today it was back to the real world. Mehhhh.

Going to go work on James' poster & watch more Bachelorette :)

  2. Good for you signing up for your second half! I just did the same thing! I'm training again after not running for a year. I hate that I quit after I ran that first half. It'd be so much easier to run the second one if I weren't so out of shape! Do you use a certain training plan when you're preparing for a race?

  3. I did the same thing! I ran my first in '09 and then said "whew! i need a break!" ... bad decision. I try and follow a training plan that I found in a special Half-marathon edition of Runner's World magazine! It's mostly for people who just want to run it - not necessarily race for a PR or medal.
